Okay, I’ll admit it. I’m conservative. Some people call me “old fashioned”, but that’s okay. I don’t take offense because it’s true. Minus the lack of running water , I think I’d rather be in the “olden days”. But I’d miss my hot showers too much to say “absolutely”. I certainly could “deal” with the lack of electricity for the most part (except for the washer part. Doing all our laundry by hand every week? I’m romantic, not dumb!), but a girl needs to keep her priorities, ya know?
But back to that conservative thing. I am conservative. I live conservatively (meaning I could care less what “the Jones’s are doing~). I dress conservatively. So it’s not surprising that I think conservatively (you know: looks like a duck, smells like a duck, quacks like a duck…). And all this hoopla about the election is no different. I realize that my opinion is not popular. It get many “boos” from the liberal side, if not sneers. But it’s mine non-the-less and there’s not enough “wall flower” in me to keep quite for too long. Although there is enough sense in me to limit my talks about political mumbo-jumbo to this one and only post.
Well, I must admit that I’m not acutally going to post my opinions. Other people already have talked so beautifully about what I believe to be true, that’s there no reason for me to state it again. So, without further adue, may I present my opinions:
Randy Alcorn on why we should not vote for Obama. (the post at the top of the page is a continuation of the post directly below it)
Geoffry Botkin on why we should not vote for McCain. (here is another one by his daughter Anna Sophia)
So, if you asked me “who are you going to vote for?”, I’d answer that my stand is pretty clear.
But, perhaps the better question would be this: Who are the ones who will most be affected by your vote? Those who have a voice or those who do not?
