About a 1 1/2 weeks ago, I received a special package in the mail. But…. then life got stupid and I got sick. So the package sat neglected and unused. I felt really bad whenever my eyes laid upon it, but it seemed I was helpless to do anything about it. About the time I got better, my sewing machine broke.
That’s not a good thing. You know how some people feel about their coffee? Well, that’s how I am about me sewing machine. Something had to be done, but fixing it wasn’t an option since the closest place to take it too said it was a $200 fee just for looking at it. Yeah, that’s not going to happen.
To make a long story short, I bought a basic machine from Wally World to get me by and we purchased an industrial machine from a company in NY (after several days of research, comparing, and talking about the various machines in our price range). In turn, since we bought the industrial sewing machine there was no place in my dinning room (where I was currently sewing)
to house another machine (because it comes with it’s own 48” x 20” table, stand, and motor). So we decided to take the room that was being used as the children’s closet (that is off the dinning room), move their clothes back upstairs into their bedrooms, and make the room my our sewing room. (As comfortable as I was in the dinning room, this was a good move for us. My girls are wanting to do more on the sewing machine, along with their beading, knitting, and crocheting, and their simply wasn’t enough room for all of our junk need equipment/items. Plus, it now has given us more room in the dinning room and we can close the door to the sewing room when company comes. ) To any one who does a fair amount of crafting, I think you understand my excitement! (a full room disclosure is coming soon)
All that was just the condensed version of all the crazy that is called “my life”!
And that is why, my dear friends, that the #4 stash box has been sitting in my house, with no applause or posting about it. My sincere apologies about being so late in posting about this! You can find out more about the other five stash boxes floating around here.
Box #6 ends 12-30 and box #2 ends 1-1.
Without further ado, the stash box:
And here are the things that I took (along with the purse handle and the knitting kit):
I am adding a mixture of vintage sheets, 6 of them low volume and 6 of them high volume. Some will be in fat quarters and some of them will be half yards. I may throw in some other quilting/sewing related items, but I’ll keep those a surprise!
To win this box, you must be an active blogger and live within the USA. To enter this giveaway, in the comments let me know what was your favorite gift to give this Christmas. You know, the one you couldn’t wait to give to someone. That’s my favorite part of this time of year (that and the food)! I’ll draw a random name on January 6.

My favorite gift to give was actually to one of my granddaughters … a stroller and a baby doll quilt for her new bitty baby! She spent *hours* walking her stroller … and her new baby and all her stuffed babies, too … on Christmas day! It was such fun to watch!! 🙂
I love to watch the joy on little children’s faces when the receive gifts. They have such joy, don’t they? Thank you for stopping by!
My favorite gift to give would be the one to the kids. I love their faces.
My favorite gift to give is cooking for my elderly neighbors. I love to watch them enjoy a good meal abd listen to the stories about their lives and families.
please provide me with a status as to the shipping of this box. I can’t seem to connect to the person that you said would be getting the box next.
