As stated before, I was tired of looking at the mauled, mutilated and written on walls in my living room and dining room. So I did something about it. I bought paint, some molding, did some sweet talking towards the handy man, and Voila! My walls looks oh so nice and purdy! The before pictures were taken in 2004 and 2005, so they are a bit dated. But it still gives you the idea of the change.

The living room has 10’ ceilings and most of the damage was where the color is now brown (“hot chocolate” is the name). I didn’t want to paint above it, for there wasn’t any reason to. I was touching up a few spots all around the room with paint that I thought was the same color. WRONG!! It wasn’t and to make things look decent, I had to paint 3 of the 4 walls up to that ceiling. I. was. not. happy. But it looks good now.

This is my “4 seasons” wall scene. I appliqued each piece onto the fabric for each season and then mounted it behind the windows. We found many old windows in our garage when we moved here and we have used them for art around the house.

This is the dining room, just as you come into the door. See the other windows used as art in here? The small one has dried flower petals in it and the long one has Isaiah 55 in it.

This is the front door. My sewing cabinet is in the foreground and look! There’s a baby!
Every one needs a baby on their table!
