I have typed, deleted, re-typed, and re-deleted this post many times! I have many things to say, but my brain just will NOT work! I’ll write something and it will sound so stupid that it gets deleted and I try again. If this was “the olden days”, there would a pile of crumpled up papers by the trash can. 
I apologize ahead of time if this post seems very segmented and scattered. My thoughts will just not come together in a cohesive way!
This week started off fairly uneventful. I’m still not sleeping well, but as a mother, I have to adjust to that reality. I was able to finish the wall quilt for Grace and I’m quite happy with the way it turned out. She likes it, as well. Isaac is bugging me to make him a “water” wall quilt ~ which I’m assuming he means something with a sale boat and a light house. But I’m not sure since he won’t tell me any other details. We’ll see what I come up with.
Nathaniel is completely potty trained! Yay!! He still wears something at night, but during the day he takes himself with a few accidents. For the past day or so, I’ve found him going potty not in his undies, but on the floor or carpet. Pretty much where he is standing, even though he takes his undies off before hand. I’m not sure why he is doing this, but I’m quite tough on him about it and I hope that it will stop. On Friday night, as I was starting supper, Nathaniel stood up on a chair, fell backwards and hit the edge of the table. That resulted in his head being cut open. We decided it was best to take him to the ER and he eventually got 3 stiches in his head. In the 10 years that we’ve had children, this was the first to get stiches. With my active and accident prone children, I think that’s a pretty good streak! He did really well and didn’t make a fuss when getting stitched up. He’s a tough little cookie!
On Saturday, the 26th, we had a community “home made sled and shovel” race. It was hilarious! We told our children that if they wanted to enter, they had to do most of the work themselves. This saved us from making 6 different sleds; plus the children had the satisfaction of using their own creative ideas and making it happen. Unfortunately, I didn’t get a picture of the children’s race, but here is a picture of the adult race. 
Adam is the 1st adult on the right, with Malachi in the red jacket next to him and I am ready to push him in the back. The man next to Adam was in an upside down car hood, with a wooden crate screwed to it and a stick for him to hold on to. With the next contestant, your eyes are not mistaken. That is indeed a couch, coffee table, and lamp screwed to a platform on “skis”! It was great! We had about 70 ppl there and for around here, that is a good turn out.
I think that’s about all my brain can turn out for this week!
