When we read of God’s promise in Genesis to Abram (later Abraham), we think of the stars that we see. Right? Have you ever wondered what Abram saw? Yes, I know they were quite different in the sense that he was in the other part of the world. But what would you see if you were in the middle of no where, with no other light to shield the stars from your eyes?
Well, this is what you would see (click the picture to go to the web site).
And I believe this is similar to what Abram saw. This picture was taken with a regular camera, like you and I would have. So if you were to stand out in the middle of this dessert, you would see this sky with your own eyes! It sure brings a whole new meaning to the promise
And he brought him forth abroad, and said, Look now toward heaven, and tell the stars, if thou be able to number them: and he said unto him, So shall thy seed be.
Genesis 5:15
doesn’t it? Isn’t God amazing?! And what do you think now of Abram’s faith? If you were old, with your spouse being old as well, and told to look up into the sky and see how many descendants you are promised to have, would you believe?
