Oh to feel normal again!

I ate something wrong yesterday. I first thought it was the ivory teff flour I used for the 1st time. We have used the dark teff before, but that was Bob’s Red Mill certified gluten free. This time we bought the grain & flour strait from the company in Idaho. But it turns out that all teff is gluten free, so that’s not it.

Then we thought maybe it was oats. I made an apple crisp with the teff flour and oats. I also had granola for breakfast. However, I have oats almost every day and I haven’t had a reaction to them thus far. So we don’t think the oats are the culprit this time. (I did have oatmeal for breakfast this morning, so if I’m still sick tomorrow, than we can put the back in to the “maybe” pile.)

That leaves the dessert itself. I used apple sauce that was probably on it’s way out anyway. With my system being all funny, with trying to heal itself, I was effected much more strongly than everyone else. Well, I was the only one effected.

I have an appointment tomorrow with a nurse practioner and I’m going to ask about being tested for food allergies. I’ll bring up being tested for Celiac Disease and Leaky Gut Syndrome. I don’t think I have Celiac Disease, I just want to rule it out.
