Did I hear that right?

There was a conversation this morning between Grace (5.5) , Isaac (4) and myself that I really need to share. It went like this.

Grace: “Mama, how is toilet paper made?”

Me: “I don’t know. I don’t know how any paper is made. But I know paper is made from trees.”

Grace: “Really? Real trees?”

Me: (I’m thinking ‘as opposed to fake trees?’) But I said out loud, “Yes, real trees.”

Grace: “Even toilet paper?”

Isaac: “Yes and there is toilet paper in Heaven, too.”

Grace: “No there’s not. There is no toilet paper in Heaven. (pause) Is there Mama?”

Isaac: “Yes there is!”

Me: “I … don’t know. I have never been there. (And since I couldn’t resist…) Why do you think there is toilet paper in Heaven Isaac?”

Issac: “Because God and Jesus have to go to the bathroom.”

Grace: “Yeah. And probably the apostles too.”

How ’bout you? Do you think there’s toilet paper in Heaven?

On another note, the other night Adam did something to me (I can’t remember what) at the supper table. It wasn’t mean or anything; we were just playing around. Since Malachi has been talking much more lately, it was very comical to hear him say something after witnessing Adam do whatever he did.

And what was it that Malachi said?

“Naughty boy, Daddy.”

Well said.
