Oh boy, have the last two days been busy! As I said before, we rented a dumpster and are we ever making good us of it! On Wednesday afternoon, we cleaned out the garage. It was awful! Packed full of old junk and remolding stuff.
Yesterday, we Adam worked on fixing the hole in the kitchen ceiling witch has been there for, oh … about a year and a half! (Winter of 2007 some pipes froze, then thawed and became bused pipes. Adam had to break a hole in the ceiling to get to the pipes) He also fixed a few of the ceramic tiles that were broken and missing.
Then today we turned our attention to the basement. The dark, smelly, spider-living basement. That took about 2 hours and now most is cleaned up and out of that, too. After I’m through here, I’ll be going through all that junk that we brought up and see what we’ll keep and what we’ll toss. It’s a good thing I’m not a pack rat. I’ve never had any problem with saying “good bye” to things. I suppose there are a few exceptions, but for the most part that statement is true.
Adam doesn’t get this, but it feels so good to me to be getting these places cleaned out! I feel that now I can turn my attention to beginning packing the things that we don’t normally use. And now that the garage is cleaned out, I have a place to put those various boxed up things! Yes there is the basement, but why marched it down there, only to haul it back up again sometime soon?
Nothing yet on the house front. But, being realistic, it’s only been 4 days. I still really believe that God will sell our house. I just wish he’d tell me when ….. And then of course, there’s the bit about what should we do on the other side of this. Should we offer on the other house now and see what the owner says about it? Should we wait until we have an offer on our house? Questions, questions, question!
Hey, you know what!? Yesterday I prayed that Lord would give us a sign that the selling of our house is what He wants. And I asked Him that the sign would be that someone would call about our house. And someone just did!! The house is more than what they are willing to pay for, but they called!!
Thank you Lord!!
