Please keep us all here in Crandon in your prayers. Early this morning, I was awakened by gun fire. I hear a total of six shots and they sounded very close. It turns out, they were only a block away. And 6 people were killed with those shots. This was all at 2:50 am this morning. This is “unofficial” at the moment, but it is known to us that a police officer (who we know) had a dispute with his girlfriend, became enraged, and shot her with the 5 people she was with. He then proceeded to run to a cabin in the woods. The police knew where he was, and after surrounding the cabin for awhile, this individual escaped from the cabin and began running through the woods. Being a police officer up here himself, he knows these woods well. He was eventually shot and killed.
At this moment, helicopters are surrounding our neighborhood. We think they are news choppers. At any rate, they are annoying. Please keep us all in your prayers. We not only know the man who killed these people, we know the people who were killed. This is something that you here about in the bigger cities. Not something that happens in your rinky-dink little northern town. And certainly not something that happens one block away from where your children are sleeping.
