Nothing real exciting has happened today ~ although it’s only 4:30, so I suppose there enough time left for that to change. I had my class this morning and that went very well. The student that gives me the most trouble did a surprising good job. It’s not that she’s trouble, it’s just that she just can’t grasp what we’re doing. We are making mini-quilts, with each student making 4 quilt blocks, each 9″ x 9″. They will also be adding sashing and sashing squares, so their finished quilts will be around 40″ square. And this particular student want (or needs) me to show her every little step and I can’t do that with 5 other girls in the classroom. But today, she did well and I hope it continues so she can finish her quilt by the end of school.
My glasses broke this morning, so after class I went to the eye doctor for them to be fixed. I get all 4 children out of the car and up to his office…and no one is there. Of course. So we go to the park for awhile to let the children play. After about an hour there, we head back to the eye doctor’s place. They quickly fix them and we come home. I put all the children to bed (even Maacah fell asleep on the couch! Woo hoo!) and here I am typing in peace. Hmm, don’t hear that very often!
Anyway, I need to go and keep the laundry going.
