From Maacah: At supper one night, I got up to get some more milk. Upon returning to the table, I looked at Maacah and noticed her eyes were red. I asked her what was wrong and she said, “Nothing. I was just looking at my dream”. What? Perplexed, I looked to Adam for some help. He said, “When you rub your eyes, sometimes you “see” things.” Oh. Right. Silly me.
From Grace: We are reading through Genesis with the children. We came to the part where Sarai gives Hagar, her maid, to Abram for a wife; thinking they’ll get the promised heir that way. Adam was re-capping what we talked about the day before and said that Abram had a baby boy. Not missing a beat, Grace interrupts and said,” That’s not twue. Daddy’s don’t have babies.”
From Isaac: Last Friday, March 2, was our 7th wedding anniversary. We planned to go down to Appleton, spend the night at a hotel (with a pool, non~the~less!) and then on Saturday, go to the children’s museum. Friday morning, we were talking about leaving after lunch. After Adam got done telling the girls this, Isaac asks,”Wyde? Wyde?” It was Adam’s turn to be perplexed. Knowing what he was saying, I said, “Yes, Isaac. We will ride in the car to get there.” Getting real excited about this, his eyes grow big and sparkly. He puts his hands into the air above his head, with his fingers wiggling and says,”Yay! Wyde! Wyde!”
