I’m sorry for the lack of posting lately. Between extensive remodeling, homeschooling, makeing clothes, keeping house, teaching high school home-ec, traveling 4 hours south to help with the food for a wedding (and not even being able to stay for 24 hours), doing laundry, getting up 2-3 times each night for a 30 min feeding (Malachi’s, not mine!), organizing an Indian Taco and Rummage Sale at church for this Thursday (Oct 19) and everything else that needs to be done, my children went and got sick! You know the kind, the wheezing-wacking-I can’t get a breath-my chest is going to implode type of coughing. Accompanied with the runny nose, of course. Needless to say, I’ve been a bit busy. And man! am I tired!
The last few nights we’ve been “teaching” Malachi to sleep. Meaning his bed is in the living room, so that I don’t wake up with every little sound or move he makes. Of course, I do wake up once the wailing sets in ~ and does it ever! The first night he woke up a 2:22 am and cried until 2:34am, not too bad. I fed him at 4 something. Last night he woke up at 1 something, cried for 10 min; them woke up again at 2:30 am and cried for 12 min. When he woke up again at 4:10 am, I did get up to feed him. He needed it, but so did I. I know, it’s not the whole night. But I’m working on getting him to sleep for 6 hours strait.
Okay, it’s 8:30 pm, the kiddos are heading to bed and I’m heading to the shower. Oh, will the hot water feel good on this tired body of mine! And I won’t even tell you how much I need the silence!
Good night all!
